ABOUT DR. C. MEERA CHOHAN

Dr. Chohan has been registered as a psychologist with the Psychological Association of Manitoba since 2008. Dr. Chohan uses treatments that include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, Interpersonal Processing, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

BREATHING METHOD

Here’s a quick way to calm your body which will in turn calm your mind.

  1. Breathe in through your nose for a count of 4 seconds.
  2. Hold your breath for 7 seconds.
  3. Exhale for 8 seconds making a “whoosh” sound through pursed lips.
  4. Repeat up to 4 times.

    Yes, Dr. Chohan is a registered psychologist.
  2. How many session of therapy will you need?
    It depends on your situation and we will negotiate this together.
  3. How long does a session last?
    Each session lasts 50 minutes.
  4. Does Dr. Chohan direct bill to insurance?
    The client pays up front and Dr. Chohan provide a receipt for you to submit to your insurance.
  1. What payment methods are accepted?
    E-Transfer, cash and personal cheques are accepted.
  2. How much does a session cost?
    Each session is $215.
  3. What makes therapy successful?
    The therapeutic relationship makes therapy successful.

    Both the client and the therapist need to feel there’s a good fit.
